Ilmenite, Zircon, Rutile, Monazite
Mineral sands are a class of ore deposits that contain concentrations of ilmenite, zircon, monazite and rutile. They are also called "heavy minerals" due to specific gravity of mineral grains. Heavy minerals are an important source of zirconium, titanium and rare earth elements. Valuable deposits are usually formed in beach dunes. Amigo Minerals explores, mines, processes and trades Ilmenite, Zircon, Rutile and Monazite - used today in a wide and increasing range of industrial, consumer and lifestyle applications.
Sustainable, eco-friendly and socially responsible investing
Amigo Minerals is committed to operating in a sustainable, socially responsible and ecologically friendly manner. Our strategy considers environmental, social and corporate governance criteria as vital elements to build a successful business, generate long-term competitive financial returns and positive socio-economic impact in communities where we operate.
Operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner
Amigo Minerals is committed to operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. Mineral sands mining uses electricity only and the waste output from the process is pure clean sea sand. Although these operations do not pollute the environment, most often mining territories have ecologically sensitive surroundings and contain fragile ecosystems existing on poor sandy soils. After a deposit is exhausted our Company takes full responsibility for intensive rehabilitation of the mined areas including re-vegetation with similar species and re-contouring of the initial landscape.
